Privacy policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This policy explains what the People vs Monsters game ("People vs Monsters", "we") collects, how it's used and who can see it. We collect only what the game needs to run matches, keep your progress and let you play with friends. We don't ask for your email address, show ads, use third-party analytics or tracking, or sell anything about you.
Your account
- Registered accounts: the username and display name you choose, and your password, which is stored only as a secure hash, never in readable form.
- Guest play: playing as a guest creates an account with a generated username and the display name you enter, and no password. It lasts as long as the game keeps its sign-in on your device.
- Signing in: a sign-in token is kept on your device so you stay signed in. When you sign in, we record when.
Playing
- Match history: for every finished match, when it was played, the mode, the winning side and why, and for each player their side, character, kills, whether they survived and whether they won. Matches against bots record only the real players.
- Progress: your pumpkins (rank) and best pumpkins, candies, the coffins you've earned and not yet opened, and for each character whether it's unlocked, its level and its pieces.
- Chat: messages you send in a match are passed live to the other players allowed to see them (everyone, your team, or the other fallen players). They're not stored.
- Positions and actions in a match are processed live on our server to run the game, and not kept after the match, apart from the match history above.
What other players can see
- In a match: your display name, and (as the game allows) your character, team and actions.
- Leaderboard: registered accounts appear on the ranking with their display name, pumpkins and arena.
- Friends: you get a friend code to share. Players you add as friends see your display name, username, pumpkins and whether you're online, in a lobby or in a match. Registered players can find you by username to send a request; you choose whether to accept it.
- Parties and lobbies: friends you invite, and players in a lobby with you, see your display name.
Server logs and moderation
Our server may record IP addresses and request times in its logs, used only to keep the service secure and fix problems. Administrators can see accounts, matches and live lobbies to keep the game fair and safe: they can rename an offensive display name, remove a player from a lobby, sign an account out or disable it.
How long it's kept, and deleting it
Your account and everything above are kept until your account is deleted. You can delete it yourself in the game, or ask us to — see deleting your account. Deleting removes your account, progress, coffins, friends and friend requests, and your part in every match's history.
Children
People vs Monsters isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Questions, or a request to see or delete your data: yskudilov@gmail.com.
